Jesse Jewel Pigott is a budding artist who has been painting since she was a small girl. She comes from a long line of creatives on both sides of her family and was always encouraged to follow her path in the arts.
Her style is inspired by the many places she’s lived throughout her life; including Africa, Australia, France, the west coast of Scotland and the South West of the UK, where she currently resides.
Jesse spent her young life and teenage years with artists Tonio Trzebinski, Robert Doble, Eleanor Venables, Ali Ball, Kate Reed and David Humphries, all of whom inspired her use of colour and form.
From an early age she knew she wanted to be an artist and was lucky enough to have mentors who encouraged and inspired her. Her varied and alternative education led her to study Fine Art at Falmouth Art College.
Indigenous cultures, the natural world and the female form are a consistent inspiration for Jesse. These themes reflect her intention to capture the simplicity of our relationship with Nature.
Nature’s Dance is a current body of work inspired by the beauty and magic of living in the woodlands and women’s connection to Mother Nature.
